Kroger Selects Milen Mahadevan to Lead 84.51 as President
Current COO succeeding Stuart Aitken. Current 84.51 COO succeeds Stuart Aitken as president of the retailer’s data analytics group.
Milen Mahadevan, current chief operating officer of Kroger Co.’s 84.51 data subsidiary, will have the president title added to his role. Mahadevan is succeeding Stuart Aitken as president, following Aitken’s recent appointment as chief merchant and marketing officer of Kroger.

Mahadevan will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management and vision for 84.51, to deliver best-in-class results for Kroger and its consumer-packaged-goods partners, the company said.
Prior to being named president and COO, Mahadevan was SVP, head of client solutions and capabilities, for 84.51, where he led the strategic direction and development of the company’s solutions and capabilities, as well as a key driver of the overarching strategy for the business.
Previously, Mahadevan was the head of client solutions and the service line organization for dunnhumby USA. In this role, he was responsible for best practices and innovation in data management, analytics, insights, communications and media. This focus allowed Mahadevan to deliver scalable solution strategies for dunnhumby USA’s client base. He played a critical role in expanding the company’s foundational capabilities across markets, channels, verticals and categories.
Kroger developed 84.51 through its former partial ownership of dunnhumby USA.
Mahadevan holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the Imperial College in London.
Based in Cincinnati, 84.51 brings together customer data, predictive analytics and marketing strategy to drive sales growth and customer loyalty for Kroger and more than 1,250 consumer-packaged-goods companies in the U.S.
