Lucky’s Market Names Tim Overlie Director of Local Foods Program

Industry vet has more than 40 years of experience. The industry veteran most recently served as the retailer’s regional director of operations.

Lucky’s Market has appointed Tim Overlie as the director of its local foods program, where he will be responsible for increasing the presence of local products in all departments for each of the retailer’s 28 stores.

The industry veteran most recently served as regional director of operations at Lucky’s Market, and has more than 40 years of experience in leadership, mentoring, product development, purchasing, operations, merchandising, strategic planning and financial management. He has held past positions at Wild Oats Markets, Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy and Alfalfa’s.

“Our goal at Lucky’s is to not only sell groceries, but to help people connect with their community,” Overlie said in a statement. “Stocking our stores with locally grown produce and locally produced items is the best way to connect with our communities and neighbors, support the local economy and promote sustainability.”

Founded in 2003 by former chefs Bo and Trish Sharon, Lucky’s market operates in 11 states, and touts its commitment to local foods, supporting local farmers and offering fresh, seasonal and specialty foods.
