In a push to further drive its omnichannel growth, H-E-B has appointed technology executive Mike Georgoff as chief product officer for H-E-B Digital, where he will lead the company’s digital product strategy, design and development.

Georgoff will report to Jag Bath, the CEO of Favor Delivery, who was also recently named H-E-B’s chief digital officer following the San Antonio-based retailer’s acquisition of the on-demand delivery company.

Georgoff has more than a decade of experience working with high-growth consumer technology startups, including his most recent role as chief product officer for Main Street Hub, an Austin, Texas-based digital marketing firm that was acquired by GoDaddy earlier this year.

“This is an industry-leading company that is strategically positioned to deliver a cutting-edge digital experience to customers,” Georgoff said in a statement. “I am thrilled for the opportunity to join such a talented team focused on bringing innovation, growth and success to H-E-B.”

Previously, Georgoff held leadership roles at movie and video game rental provider Redbox and coupon company RetailMeNot, where he helped build the early-stage businesses into $1 billion companies, according to a statement from H-E-B.

Georgoff’s appointment serves as the latest move in H-E-B’s strategy to enhance the company’s digital offerings. In addition to its acquisition of Favor in February, the retailer has expanded its H-E-B Delivery and H-E-B Curbside services, which are now available in more than 100 locations in Texas, with plans to reach 165 stores this year.

“Mike is a highly respected veteran of product development in the digital space, and someone with his expertise strengthens our commitment to building out H-E-B’s omnichannel services,” Bath said in a statement. “He has a proven track record leading successful product and design teams, which puts him in a position to help us build the ultimate digital experience for our customers to go along with the unparalleled service of our world-class stores.”
