Albertsons Cos. is expanding its partnership with Uber, making more than 2,000 of its stores accessible through Uber Eats.

The expansion brings nearly 800 new locations to the app, including to consumers in Connecticut, Indiana, New Hampshire, Utah, Vermont and Rhode Island for the first time, the companies said in a release.

In addition to being found with Uber Eats’ grocery category, the stores—including the Albertsons, Safeway, Jewel-Osco, ACME, Tom Thumb and Randall banners—will also now be included within the convenience section, allowing consumers to order items for deliver through “express” lanes. For Uber One members, which launched last November, the delivery fee is waived on all convenience orders from Albertsons “express” stores with a $15 minimum purchase.

“Our growing partnership with Uber Eats brings new convenience to shopping our stores,” said Amber Kappa, VP of business development and innovation, digital, for Albertsons Cos. “Our goal is to make it easier for people to get their groceries, so they can focus on the goodness of sharing a meal."
