Seatle-based food co-op PCC Community Markets added several new executives, including a chief financial officer, the grocer announced Tuesday.

Chris Naismith is PCC’s new CFO, Susan Livingston was named VP of marketing and purpose, and Michele Mallory is the new VP of IT.

In January, PCC, the largest community-owned food market in the country, named Krishnan “Krish” Srinivasan, president and CEO.

Naismith has held senior financial posts at companies such as Microsoft, Disney, Gap, Williams Sonoma and Sur La Table. In her new post, she will oversee all of PCC’s financial and accounting operations, business planning and analysis, and strategy development.

“I am excited to join such a purpose-driven company where I can combine my professional and personal passions,” Naismith said in a statement. “It is a privilege to deeply align with the values of your business, and I look forward to collaborating with our staff and community to help bring forward the financial vision for the co-op.”

Livingston will lead the merger of the PCC’s marketing and social-environmental responsibility teams to form the co-op’s first Marketing Purpose department. She has worked in brand strategy for companies including Nike and Whole Foods Market.

Mallory has more than 20 years of technology experience across multiple industries. She will oversee planning, development and maintenance of the co-op’s information systems to support operations in-store as well as on digital channels.

“I am a strong believer that technology and data hold the key to innovation,” Mallory said in a statement. “I am thrilled to be in an environment at PCC that places high importance on innovative thinking, collaboration and continuous improvement.”

The co-op said the three new leaders will “guide PCC into the future with a newly defined three-year strategic plan that furthers PCC’s vision, mission and values …”

PCC was founded in Seattle in 1953 and currently has more than 100,000 active members. The organic grocer operates 16 stores in the Puget Sound area.
