A deli oven-roasted chicken will headline the debut episode of Publix Super Markets’ first online Aprons Cooking School class video series, which begin next weekend and aim to provide viewers with “smart, fast simple ways to get cooking in the new year.”

The Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer’s new cooking videos, which will premiere on YouTube on Jan. 12, will be hosted by two Publix Aprons Cooking School chefs. Recipes and a shopping list will be available in advance of the airing of each of the free instructional cooking segments, which will invite viewers to participate in a live chat by submitting comments and questions for the chefs to answer.

The debut January episode, “Get Cooking in the New Year,” will showcase how to easily prepare, cook and assemble three meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner using a Publix oven-roasted chicken.

All three classes begin at 6 p.m. EST on their air date and will be available on demand on Publix’s YouTube channel after each segment’s premiere.
