Employee-owned grocery chain Publix Super Markets on Wednesday opened its newest store in Navarre, Florida.

The 48,387-square-foot store will be located at the Wynnehaven Plaza at 10040 Navarre Parkway and features an adjacent Publix Liquors, the fast-growing Florida retailer said. Navarre is about 25 miles east of Pensacola, Florida.

“We are excited to bring a second Publix location to our customers in Navarre,” said Hannah Herring, Publix media relations manager, in a statement. “We look forward to welcoming new and existing customers and providing them with premier service and quality products.” Publix's other Navarre location is at 8244 Navarre Parkway.

The new store offers departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and produce, as well as a full-service bakery department and pharmacy. Contactless pay options, grocery delivery via Instacart and pharmacy delivery are also available.

Closing out fiscal 2022, Publix Super Markets experienced steady sales growth as the employee-owned grocer continues to increase its footprint with new store openings.

Last Thursday, the grocery retailer reopened at the Gandy Shopping Center in Tampa, Florida. The 59,409-square-foot store is located at 3617 W. Gandy Blvd. and is a ground-up replacement for the existing store that closed due to its age, Publix told WGB.

As one of the largest employee-owned grocers in the U.S., Publix employs more than 240,000 associates at its nearly 1,331 locations.
