Raley’s has promoted two of its team members to leadership roles. Kevin Konkel will assume the company’s newly created role as COO, and Paul Gianetto has been named SVP of sales and merchandising.

In his new role, Konkel—who has served the company for nearly 40 years—will lead operations in all Raley’s banners and pharmacy operations, as well as store design and construction, operations administration, distribution and asset protection. He previously served as the company’s SVP.

As SVP of sales and merchandising, Gianetto will manage strategic pricing, private label, sales and merchandising for both center store and perishable departments. “We are fortunate to have such experienced and proven leaders in Kevin and Paul,” President Keith Knopf said in a statement. “Both epitomize servant leadership and Raley’s family values. I am confident Kevin and Paul will continue to help guide the organization toward our vision of infusing life with health and happiness.”

Konkel and Gianetto will continue to report to Knopf who, along with Chairman and CEO Michael Teel, will continue to lead strategic direction for Raley’s.
