Redner’s Markets, Inc., an employee-owned company, will open its newest Redner’s Fresh Market in Lewes, Delaware on Thursday, the company announced.

“We are very excited to open this store for the Lewes and Rehoboth beach communities,” said President and CEO Ryan Redner in a statement. “Through the pandemic, we experienced some delays that were not the norm but through it all have kept plugging away and finally, we are ready to open our doors and offer the community our Redner’s Fresh Market options.”

The 49,000-square-foot store is located at 24120 Zinfandel Lane within the Vineyards, which is owned by and operated by Fernmoor Holding. “Planning this store and all it has to offer has been a labor of love for our entire team,” Redner said.

The new store will be the fourth Redner’s Fresh Market and will have full-service departments in bakery, deli, produce, meat and seafood. The new location will also feature chef-prepared meal solutions, the grocer said.

Daily prepared items such as fresh popcorn, infused water, sushi, marinated seafood and steaks, and pressed juice are some of the featured products, along with a greater variety of fresh-cut produce and grab-and-go meals.

The new store includes self-checkout registers, Redners’ Ready Online Shopping and curbside pickup services, as well as DoorDash and Shipt delivery options.

Shoppers can also use Redner’s Rewards to redeem fuel purchases at the Redner’s fuel kiosk located within the shopping center parking lot, the grocer said.

Redner’s Markets, Inc. operates 44 grocery stores and 21 quick shops throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.
