Shoptalk 2019 to Hit Las Vegas March 3-6
World-class retail industry speakers and 8,000 attendees to descend on Vegas for the fourth year. With attendance surging, Shoptalk '19 cultivates the future of retail through unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

The fourth annual Shoptalk conference will begin in less than two weeks at The Venetian in Las Vegas. The event will showcase approximately 8,000 attendees, who will come together to cultivate the future of retail through unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
This year's Shoptalk also has lots in store for both new and returning attendees. On the ledger are experts across all sectors of retail and a lineup of world-class class speakers.
They include Frans Muller, president and CEO of Ahold Delhaize; Jim Donald, president and CEO, and Narayan Iyengar, SVP, digital & e-commerce, both of Albertsons Cos.; Brandless co-founder and CEO Tina Sharkey; and Nilam Ganenthiran, chief business officer of Instacart. Attendees will also hear from Eddie Garcia, VP, end-to-end experience, and Anshu Bhardwaj, VP, product, both of Sam’s Club; Kroger's VP of branding and marketing, Gil Phipps; Jim Nielsen, Co-CEO, President and COO of Sprouts; The Hershey Co.'s Doug Straton, who is chief digital commerce officer; Ben Hassing, SVP of e-commerce technology, Walmart China; and Tom Ward, SVP of digital operations for Walmart.

Shoptalk covers the latest technologies, trends and business models as well as an in-depth discussion about the rapid transformation of how consumers discover, shop and buy. Some of the specific innovations the 2019 agenda will focus on include:
Robotics: Ocado Solutions and Takeoff Technologies will share how they’re using robotics to automate fulfillment in large and micro fulfillment centers, respectively; Bossa Nova will show how its robots scan store shelves to identify out-of-stocks.
In-Store Technologies: Sam’s Club will share how it is harnessing mobile as a vital assistant to members shopping in stores; 7-Eleven will share how self-checkout is making its stores more convenient.
Operational Technologies: Transfix will discuss how it’s optimizing trucking; Nuro and Shipsi will discuss approaches to facilitating fast last-mile delivery.
Shoptalk also provides innovative networking and collaboration programs such as the Hosted Retailer & Brands Program and Techtalks.
For example, during Shoptalk's Tabletalks, small groups of six to eight individuals get to take a deep dive into the topic retailers and brands and discuss key issues and opportunities facing the industry and their businesses. Drinks with Speakers offers another opportunity for attendees to meet and mingle with more than 70 speakers at the welcome reception. The third networking event during Shoptalk is Shophop, a program open to all retailers and brand attendees in the format of a high-end pub crawl.
