SpartanNash has added two new vice presidents to its evolving leadership lineup, naming Peter Anjorin as VP of strategy and business development and Yu Ying Seah as VP of IT global applications.

Anjorin joins SpartanNash from Whirlpool Corp., where he most recently was head of product strategy for the company's North American refrigeration business. His move to SpartanNash reunites Anjorin with fellow Whirlpool veteran Masiar Tayebi, who led global corporate strategy and business development for Whirlpool before signing on to SpartanNash as chief strategy officer a year ago

Anjorin, in his 13-year tenure with Whirlpool, also held other roles in corporate strategy as well as in merchandising and marketing. At SpartanNash, he will play a key role in "driving growth initiatives for SpartanNash, including strategic partnerships, innovation opportunities and mergers and acquisitions," the company stated in a news release.

Seah has been an independent contractor for SpartanNash in the company's enterprise applications office; the company said Seah has been pivotal in modernizing how it delivers IT services. Key projects he has led for SpartanNash have included "pricing and promotions automation; enabling the company’s supply-chain transformation; integrating enterprisewide HR timekeeping and people management systems; and spearheading the launch of a transportation management platform."

Before his work with SpartanNash, Seah, a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, served for five years as senior director of IT applications for SC Johnson. In his new role as VP of IT global applications, Seah will be responsible for developing and driving SpartanNash's applications road map and will report to SVP and CIO Arif Dar.
