Sprouts Farmers Market will soon add another Florida location to its list of stores in the Sunshine State.
The Phoenix-based grocer announced it’s putting the finishing touches on its new store, a 20,000-square-foot store at 2631 NE. 10th Court in Homestead, Fla., with doors set to open April 1 at 7 a.m.
The company said details about the grand opening celebration will be announced at a later date. The new Sprouts location will have a farmers market experience—something CEO Jack Sinclair sees as key to success for the company—in addition to an open layout, with fresh produce at the center of the store.
“We are making progress in transforming Sprouts—built on the long-standing foundation of a farmers market heritage,” said Sinclair in a statement last fall. Looking ahead, Sinclair added that “while there is work to be done, we are supported by a robust unit growth story, passionate team members, a loyal customer base, and our fresh differentiation, providing the ingredients for long-term success as a specialty store destination.”
The Homestead store will employ 100 associates, and the company earlier this week hosted a team member virtual hiring event, which included employment opportunities for managers, clerks, cashiers as well as administrative positions.
Recently recognized for its sustainability efforts, Sprouts Farmers Market received an AAA MSCI Rating for ESG. The AAA rating represents the highest on the scale and signifies a company leading its industry in managing the most significant environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities, the company said.
Sprouts employs approximately 31,000 team members and operates more than 370 stores in 23 states nationwide.
