Sprouts Farmers Market will host its first Our Brands-focused Sustainability Vendor Summit from June 21-24 in an effort to build upon its commitment of bringing responsibly grown and sourced food to its customers.

In partnership with online product discovery and sourcing platform ECRM and RangeMe, which qualifies suppliers, Phoenix-based Sprouts is looking to source new and improved sustainable Sprouts branded products.

Private brand suppliers and manufacturers—who align with their commitment to ensure ethically source ingredients, sustainable packaging and who prioritize and support improved animal welfare—can sign up through April 25.

“At Sprouts, we believe that doing good extends beyond selling healthy products,” said Jac Ross, VP of Our Brands, in a statement. “Our long-term growth strategy is rooted in sustainability efforts that improve our business while caring for our customers, team members, local communities and planet.

Ross said that the summit will help advance the grocer’s “dedication to expand our sustainable selection of Sprouts branded products in our over 380 stores across the country and beyond.”

Sprouts employs approximately 31,000 team members and operates more than 380 stores in 23 states nationwide. Earlier this month Sprouts opened its 32nd store in Florida.

Recognizing the company’s environmental efforts, the Phoenix-based grocer received a rating of AAA in the 2021 MSCI ESG Ratings assessment, which represents the highest on the scale and signifies a company leading its industry in managing the most significant environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities, the company said.
