Stater Bros. Appoints New VP of Corporate Affairs

Nancy Negrette promoted from current position as senior director of corporate affairs. The retailer has promoted Nancy Negrette, who will report directly to CEO Pete Van Helden.

Stater Bros. Markets has promoted Nancy Negrette to VP of corporate affairs. She will report directly to CEO Pete Van Helden.

Negrette is currently senior director of corporate affairs, and has held a number of public relations roles with the company, including director of corporate events and director of corporate affairs.

She is also president and chairman for Stater Bros. Charities, where she oversees the company’s philanthropic branch. She began her career with the company in 2012 as coordinator for Stater Bros. Charities and was promoted to Stater Bros. Charities manager in 2013 and to executive director in 2014.

“Nancy is a well-respected and valuable member of our management team,” Van Helden said in a statement. “This promotion is a result of her leadership skills, strategic vision and the contributions that she has made towards the success of the Company’s philanthropic arm and corporate image.”

Prior to Stater Bros., Negrette held various leadership positions with other companies and brings more than 17 years of experience in marketing, event design and coordination and management to her current role.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from California State University-San Bernardino and has taken courses in nonprofit management from the University of California Riverside Extension Center.

Negrette is also a member of the Business Alliance at California State University-San Bernardino and was recently named an Executive of Influence by Hispanic Lifestyle magazine.
