Just in time for Labor Day cookouts, Stop & Shop said it was launching a line of Black Angus beef products under its premium Taste of Inspirations private label, co-branded with JBS’s 1885 beef brand.

The Ahold Delhaize USA retailer said the Taste of Inspirations Black Angus beef assortment includes an array of steaks and roasts as well a variety of ground beef and patty options. 1885 is a brand of beef associated with JBS, sourcing high-quality Black Angus cattle from family-owned farms in the Northern Plains. Known for abundant marbling and tenderness, one in eight cattle qualifies, the brand said.

“We are excited to offer a superior line of Black Angus beef that represents top quality at a great value for our customers,” said Gordon Reid, president of Stop & Shop. “With more than a dozen options in-store, this new offering will add a fine-tasting choice to small gatherings for the Labor Day holiday or any meals at home.”

Based in Quincy, Mass., Stop & Shop operates more than 400 in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey.
