Tyson Foods Inc. is recognizing top-performing deli brokers across the country with its Deli Broker of the Year award. The three deli brokers sharing the award for Broker of the Year for 2020 are Braun & Associates, Pyramid Foods and Scooter Bay Sales. Winners are chosen based on proven growth in their respective markets, creating new ways to serve customers, bringing innovative merchandising solutions to market and selling the entire Tyson portfolio, the company said.

Braun & Associates, based in Saint Cloud, Minn., was founded by Randy Braun two years ago and has quickly built a team focused on deli and prepared foods. With its support, Tyson Foods has gained distribution on more than 24 new items within the past nine months and has helped to grow sales volume by more than 13% year over year.

Pyramid Foods of Memphis, Tenn., experienced double-digit growth in 2020, even while facing a global pandemic and other challenges.

Founded by Scott Shoub, Scooter Bay Sales in Glen Ellyn, Ill., has established “a new level of manufacturer expectations and extraordinary performance in the Midwest,” noted Tyson.

“We are privileged to partner with amazing companies every year,” said Michael Keeley, VP of deli sales for Tyson Foods, in a statement. “The achievements of this year’s honorees, even in the light of a global pandemic, only prove that they are best in class to our organization and to our customers.”
