Walmart said it has partnered with BuzzFeed's popular Tasty online recipe videos to allow shoppers to purchase ingredients and cookware for the Tasty recipes they see straight from the app experience on Walmart.com and Jet.com.

BuzzFeed’s Tasty has taken the internet by storm with its highly stylized recipe videos. When consumers open the Tasty app to view any one of their more than 2,000 recipe videos, the recipe will include direct links to the kitchen tools, bakeware, and appliances that they need to create a dish – for instance, a slow cooker, a nonstick pan or measuring cups, Walmart said. Beginning next year, Walmart will integrate groceries alongside services like its online grocery pickup.

Sumaiya Balbale, VP of Ecommerce, mobile and digital marketing for Walmart, said the partnership is a natural fit, and "combines content and commerce to create a convenient and fun experience for users."

"Tasty, a go-to destination for recipe inspiration, has attracted more than 65 billion video views and is the biggest franchise on Facebook with over 90 million followers," he said in a statement. "Walmart, a go-to destination for busy families who look to create delicious meals, has 4,700 stores and over 70 million products online. Jet.com, a go-to destination for a premium assortment of brands, appeals to Tasty’s urban millennial audience."
