Whole Foods Once Again Expands Amazon Prime Benefits

Amazon is taking its rapid expansion of Whole Foods Market's Prime member benefits even further, spreading the loyalty program to stores in 10 new states in the Western and Southern U.S. Effective June 13, Prime members who shop at Whole Foods stores in Arizona, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Washington are eligible for member discounts.

First introduced in early May, the latest step brings Prime benefits to nearly half of all Whole Foods Markets, according to A.C. Gallo, president and CEO of Whole Foods Market, "giving more Prime members access to great deals just in time for summer."

"Based on the positive customer feedback and successes we've seen over the past month, we're accelerating our timeline to expand these savings to all of our U.S. stores," he said. 

Prime member deals will be prominently featured in-store and on the Whole Foods app. The benefit are also available to shoppers who have their groceries delivered from Whole Foods Market stores via Prime Now, which is currently available in Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Dallas; Denver; Los Angeles; Sacramento, Calif.; San Diego; and San Francisco and will continue to expand throughout the year.
