Coborn’s announced it has appointed Tom Williams director of produce and floral merchandising.

Coborn’s announced it has appointed Tom Williams director of produce and floral merchandising. Williams will report to Emily Coborn, VP of fresh merchandising.

In his new role, Williams will be in charge of produce and floral merchandising strategies, sales and gross profit results, distribution, and vendor and supplier relationships across the retailer’s banners, including Coborn’s, Cash Wise, Marketplace Foods and CobornsDelivers.

Before joining Coborn’s, Williams most recently was manager of corporate retail produce and floral at SpartanNash. He previously held leadership roles at Supervalu, Cub Foods, H. Brooks and Company, Upper Lakes Foods and Brookshire Grocery Co.

Williams currently serves on the retail/foodservice board of directors for United Fresh and in an appointee for the USDA Fruit and Vegetable Advisory Committee.
