WASHINGTON — A consumer advocacy group here has launched a new website informing consumers of product recalls and urging support for vigorous product testing legislation. NotInMyCart.org offers “recommendations for ensuring the products we import and sell are safe, and news on the latest recalls from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture,” according to Consumers Union, which operates the site. According to Consumers Union, the value of all imports increased by 67% between 2000 and 2006.
