MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P is targeting shoppers who keep kosher with expanded deli, dairy, meat, seafood and grocery products for Passover and beyond.

Barry Eizik, who fills A&P’s newly created role of kosher category manager, will oversee the enhanced offerings in A&P, Pathmark, Waldbaum’s and Food Emporium stores that serve large Jewish communities.

Kosher products will include staples like Kadeem grape juice, Tabachnick soups, Streit’s potato latkes, Matzo ball mix and Joyva candy in grocery; fresh kugels, soufflés and soups from Classic, Garden Lites and Mauzone in prepared foods; and Golan meats and Acme smoked salmon in deli.

“This initiative reflects our renewed commitment to becoming the store of the neighborhood for all of our customers who keep kosher,” said John Mortiz, senior vice president of marketing at A&P, in a prepared statement.
