TRENTON, N.J. - Health authorities were trying to pinpoint the source of an outbreak of E. coli illnesses in New Jersey and New York that has been linked to the Taco Bell restaurant chain, according to published reports.

TRENTON, N.J. - Health authorities were trying to pinpoint the source of an outbreak of E. coli illnesses in New Jersey and New York that has been linked to the Taco Bell restaurant chain, according to published reports. There were close to 40 confirmed cases, including several children, and at least two of the victims were seriously ill, reports said. Taco Bell closed a handful of restaurants in New Jersey and on New York's Long Island as a precaution.
