DEFIANCE, Ohio — Chief Super Markets is celebrating the opening of its Boots BBQ restaurant in a store here with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Oct. 12, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.

The fast-casual restaurant serves pork, chicken, brisket, ribs and sausage that are smoked on site for up to 12 hours. Customers can order tubs of meat as well as combo meals that include sides like white cheddar mac and cheese and red skin potato salad.

Boots BBQ opened on Sept. 26 with limited hours. It is now open daily 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Customers who have tried the restaurant have posted positive reviews on Facebook.

“Just tried the half chicken, pulled pork, slaw, potato salad, and mac & cheese. Very good! The sauces are so interesting and delicious! Been waiting for some southern Q in northern OH!” said one Facebook fan.
