SAN ANTONIO — The H.E. Butt Grocery Co. has partnered with 10 Texas bloggers for a recipe contest.

The third annual Meal Maker Challenge, which launches this week, is a partnership between H-E-B and ConAgra Foods.

For the next four weeks, the bloggers will receive a featured ingredient: Egg Beaters (week 1), Hebrew National (week 2), Peter Pan Peanut Butter (week 3) and Chef Boyardee (week 4), according to The Dish, a new ConAgra website that provides bloggers with recipes and cooking tips. All items will be on sale.

Each recipe must include easy dinner-time solutions that contain six ingredients or less, take no more than 30 minutes to prepare, and feed a family of four or more.

The bloggers will post the meal on their blog and direct their readers to vote on the Meal Maker Challenge website.

The two bloggers who receive the most votes by the end of the four weeks will compete in an in-store challenge on Sept. 22.

Bloggers who run the websites www.freesamplefreak.com and www.mycrazysavings.com were among last year’s participants.

Each of last year’s blogger gave away an H-E-B/ConAgra gift pack at random to a follower who filled out an online entry form. The gift pack included an H-E-B lunch box and a variety of ConAgra products.
