Women will receive one-on-one color consultations by hair color professionals, experiment with different hair color shades using Makeover-O-Matic digital tool and receive tips and tricks-of-the-trade at event locations. Visitors can also enter a random on-site raffle for a chance to win free High Dimension hair color products every hour. In addition, the first 100 consumers to show Revlon proofs of purchase from a High Dimension product will receive a special gift from Redbook.

Trick or Treating With Casper

NEW YORK - Classic Media here and General Mills, Minneapolis, are baking up ghostly fun this Halloween. Consumers have a chance to receive mail-in coupons for $1 off the "Casper & Wendy's Ghostly Adventures" home video from Classic Media when they purchase Casper the Friendly Ghost and Wendy the Good Little Witch Pillsbury Shape Refrigerated Cookies. Consumers will receive a free Casper & Wendy/Pillsbury trick-or-treat bag when they purchase the 18-ounce package of cookies, while supplies last. Each trick-or-treat bag contains the mail-in coupon, with trick-or-treat safety tips provided by the national Safe Kids Campaign printed on the back.

Long-Hair Barbie

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Barbie is getting longer hair and more cross promotions. To support the direct-to-video Oct. 1 release of "Barbie as Rapunzel," Family Home Entertainment, a division of Artisan Home Entertainment here is partnering with Mattel, El Segundo, Calif., and several other companies. Mattel is planning the fall launch of a "Barbie as Rapunzel" brand, including toys and licensed merchandise, supported in turn by a McDonald's Happy Meal promotion and a Nestle Wonderball candy campaign.

Janet in Hawaii

BURBANK, Calif. -- The music DVD category is getting a boost from an alliance between Warner Home Video here and Eagle Rock Entertainment, London. The first title from the partnership is a concert video, "Janet Jackson: Live in Hawaii," which first aired as an HBO special. It concluded Jackson's "All For You Tour." The DVD will contain bonus backstage footage. "Janet Jackson's successful tour, coupled with her universal appeal, will allow Warner Home Video to exploit the new DVD into all channels of retail distribution," said Jeff Baker, general manager, home video and DVD at Eagle Rock.
