-- Warner Home Video here will release "The Little Polar Bear" on home video backed by a national advertising campaign. Media support will include ads on Nickelodeon and the Cartoon Network; national print ads in Parenting and People; radio promotions on stations including Radio Disney; and online banners and advertisements on AOL Kids. Additional promotional support will accompany the advertising push, including rebates, cross trailering on other holiday releases from Warner Home Video, and a mail-in rebate offer through Parenting magazine. The release comes at a $19.98 suggested retail price for the DVD, and $14.94 for VHS. The movie is based on a popular children's book series.

COLD THERAPY

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Contour Pak here has launched The Pak, a new cold therapy product. The product launch will be accompanied by a month-long temporary price reduction promotion, a consumer public relations campaign aimed at gaining product placement in major magazines, individual promotions on an account-by-account basis, and a manufacturer's coupon promotion. The Pak features a soft, cloth outer material and flexible gel filling that combine to make it more flexible and as therapeutically effective as an OTC cold remedy.

OLSEN TWINS TOOTHPASTE

PITTSBURGH -- GlaxoSmithKline here and Dualstar Consumer Products, a division of Dualstar Entertainment Group, Beverly Hills, Calif., announced the joint introduction of mary-kateandashley brand toothpaste. Co-branded with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare's Aquafresh, the toothpaste will be part of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's stable of fashion, lifestyle, and health and beauty products marketed under the mary-kateandashley brand. This will be the first mary-kateandashley brand sold in stores other than Wal-Mart. The toothpaste is available at retail nationwide beginning this month with an average retail price of $2.77 for the 4.6-ounce pump. The toothpaste comes in "Bubble Cool" flavor.
