SAN ANTONIO — H-E-B's Central Market is catering to beer lovers with “Discover Brewtopia” a two-week celebration of beer samplings and brewmaster food pairings. The event, which kicked off Wednesday, includes both free and paid events, including the opportunity to meet over 20 brewmasters.

Last Friday, Terrence Sullivan, Brewmaster for Sierra Nevada, attended the Central Market cooking school for a food-pairing event. He sampled Sierra Nevada Pale Ale with Crispy, Spicy Avocadoes with Cilantro; Torpedo Ale with Cajun Shepherd’s Pie; Kellerweis with Frisée aux Lardons (Curly Endive Salad with Bacon & a Poached Egg); and Tumbler Autumn Brown Ale with Chapa Bread filled with Coffee-Rubbed Rib Eye. The event cost $55 per person. Similar events are planned for the remainder of the celebration.
