Hy-Vee Fills Freezer for Free

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee has put a unique spin on National Frozen Food Month by selling a freezer, and filling it with free food.

Shoppers who purchase a 5.2-cubic-foot Haier chest freezer for $199 this month will get over $200 in coupon savings to fill it. "The savings pay for the freezer," Hy-Vee states in promotional materials.

Coupons can be used on more than 30 items, including a free Tombstone 12" Pizza; Digiorno Small Pizza; Breyers Ice Cream; and Hungry Man Frozen Dinners.
