WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Grilled T-Bone Steaks with Chimichurri Sauce is the first Hy-Vee recipe to come from Curtis Stone, the retailer’s new celebrity chef spokesman.

The recipe will be sampled in stores throughout this month.

Under an exclusive agreement with Hy-Vee, Stone will be prominently featured in the company’s TV commercials, print ads and in-store promotional materials over the next two years.

New recipes from Stone will appear each month in the company’s print ads, on its website and in stores. All recipes emphasize fresh, high-quality, seasonal ingredients and ease of preparation.

Stone, a native of Australia classically trained in London, is the host of “Top Chef Masters” on Bravo and appears as an investor/mentor on NBC’s “America’s Next Great Restaurant.”

Stone endorses Hy-Vee in an article posted on hy-vee.com.

"The first time I was in a Hy-Vee, I had just darted in to pick up some extra ingredients for a dish," Stone says in the article. "Wow, what a grocery store! You know, you think that this is the middle of the country and you won't have access to all you can get in L.A. or some other big city. But I was blown away just walking down the produce aisle."
