Jungle Jim’s Holds Lottery for Rare Beer

CINCINNATI — Jungle Jim’s International Market will hold a lottery for a limited shipment of what many beer drinkers refer to as the best brew in the world.

Known as the pinnacle of beers, Westvleteren 12 Belgian ale will go on sale on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

All those interested in buying an $85.99 gift pack must sign up in the retailer’s beer department by 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Jungle Jim’s will draw names at random and notify winners by phone. There is a limit of one gift pack per family.

The Saint Sixtus Trappist Monastery Brewery produces only 160,000 cases each year. Jungle Jim’ was able to acquire “a very limited supply.”
