DAYTON, Ohio — There’s a financial incentive for Dorothy Lane Market’s shoppers to eat local foods.

Each month during the summer, all those who enter a different local-eating challenge are eligible to win a $50 Dorothy Lane gift card.

For the month of June, all those who purchase any five local items from throughout the store and turn in their receipt or share photos on the Dorothy Lane Facebook page will be entered for a chance to win.

In July, the challenge is to buy five local produce items. In August, shoppers can enter by creating a recipe made from Honestly Local products from throughout the store and sharing a recipe and photo of the finished dish with the local ingredients used, or submitting a copy of the recipe with the receipt.

“Once you’ve had a chance to try all the different products over the summer, in September we will invite you to share your experience with Honestly Local food and write about which Honestly Local product is your favorite and why,” Dorothy Lane states in promotional materials.
