Lowes Hosts Family Recipe Contest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — An Apple MacBook Pro is one of the prizes offered as part of a new Lowes Food family recipe contest.

Other prizes include an Apple iPad, a $150 gift certificate to a day spa, a $150 gift card to Ticketmaster and an Apple iPod nano.

Shoppers can enter in one of three categories: "Tasty Treasures" (women, 18 years and older); "I Own the Kitchen" (men, 18 years and older); and "Fixing My Own Lunch Box" (kids, 10 to 18 years).

To enter, contestants submit their original lunch or dinner recipe using the Meal Planner on the company's website. The deadline for entries is Oct. 27. Winners will be announced Nov. 5, and honored during a red carpet event at one of the Lowes Foods stores Nov. 12.
