AUSTIN, Texas — Whole Foods Market is temporarily reducing the price of hundreds of products that follow best practices for GMO avoidance.
“If GMOs (genetically modified organisms) are a no-go on your grocery list, then you’ll want to make sure to shop at any U.S. Whole Foods Market store this weekend, April 19–21, because hundreds of Non-GMO Project Verified products will be on sale,” blogged Allison Burch, content creator and administrator for Whole Foods’ Integrated Media Team.
Products include Eden Foods Canned Vegetables, Stahlbush Frozen Fruit, Lotus Foods Rice, Wholesoy & Co. Soy Yogurt and Theo Chocolate Classic Bars.
Whole Foods merchandises 3,300 products and 250 brands that are Non-GMO Project verified — the most in America, according to Burch.
