CHARLESTON, S.C. — Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co. here said Monday it is expanding its online grocery service to 27 additional stores in South Carolina and Georgia.

The Click'n Shop service, which allows customers to order groceries online and pick them up at a store, launched in 2008 and is currently available at 10 locations. Two of those stores — in Pawleys Island, S.C., and Myrtle Beach, S.C. — also offer delivery. Click'n Shop is powered by MyWebGrocer.

"We've really seen this program blossom and draw a loyal fan base since it was introduced," said David Schools, president and chief executive officer, Piggly Wiggly Carolina. "We're excited to have the chance to offer the service to even more Piggly Wiggly customers and just in time for the busy holiday season when shoppers are often more time strapped."

The Click'n Shop expansion will begin in Columbia, S.C., with rollouts to the Charleston; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Florence, S.C.; and Savannah, Ga., markets scheduled to follow through the end of the year.

The fee of $5 per order is waived for the first order. Piggy Wiggly also offers a monthly Click'n Shop membership at participating stores for $15.95, allowing for unlimited online shopping.
