Safeway Groupon Promotes Starbucks Grocery, Cafe

PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway Club Cardholders are eligible to purchase a $9 Groupon deal that includes one 10- to 12-ounce bag of Starbucks coffee redeemable at Safeway, and a $5 Starbucks Card egift that can only be used at a participating Starbucks location (a $14 value).

Participants must have a Safeway Club Card in order to partake.

Within 48 hours of their Groupon purchase, customers will receive confirmation that their offer is ready to be redeemed. The value of the coffee will be pre-loaded to the shopper’s Safeway Club Card and the cost reduced from their bill at the register. 

When the order is ready to be redeemed, shoppers can also visit the My Groupons page and download their Card egift voucher. Users must follow the instructions on the voucher to activate and redeem the gift card.

Shoppers who fail to retrieve their bag of coffee by March 20, 2014, will receive a $4 credit to their Safeway Club Card account.
