MODESTO, Calif. — Bob Piccinini, chairman and chief executive officer of Save Mart Supermarkets, who is a car and racing enthusiast, will celebrate 20 years of sponsoring the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race — Toyota/Save Mart 350 — at Infineon Raceway on June 26 by debuting his customized racing shopping cart.

The Save Mart "hot rod" cart is powered by a Watson Racing Chevy 454 with 520 horse power and 550 foot lbs of torque.

Although top speed is undetermined at this time, the cart is built for speed accelerating from 0 to 60 in about 8 seconds.

"Our long-standing support of NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series has been a source of pride for our 18,000 employees, our supplier partners, and the thousands of 'race fan' shoppers visiting our stores," said Piccinini, in a statement.
