BOULDER, Colo. — Sunflower Farmers Market said this week it plans to open its first location in California on May 11 in Roseville, in the northern half of the state.

BOULDER, Colo. — Sunflower Farmers Market said this week it plans to open its first location in California on May 11 in Roseville, in the northern half of the state.

Grand opening events will include a free bag filled with $50 worth of groceries to the first 200 customers who make a purchase; a free reusable grocery bag with purchase to the first 10,000 shoppers; plus live music, vendor booths and kids' activities.

Sunflower operates 33 stores in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Texas.
