Web Winnings at Brookshire

TYLER, Texas — Brookshire Grocery Co. is encouraging shoppers to visit its newly updated website by running an online instant-win game. “Web Winnings” will award a grand prize of free groceries for a year, along with 1,500 Brookshire gift cards. Once players register online, they can play a slot-machine-like game that shows three pieces of fruit: a carrot, an apple and a pear. When players press a “Spin” button, the fruit starts moving. They then click “Stop” to see if they get three matching fruits. Winners are announced each day, so the more times people log on, the more chances they have to win. Those who don’t win see a message that reads, “Sorry. While you didn’t win this time, come back every day to play the Web Winnings game again.” The promotion ends Nov. 13.
