The fourth location of Brothers Marketplace opens on Aug. 1 in the historic district of Duxbury, Mass. Roche Bros.’ neighborhood market banner offers customers a one-stop shopping and dining experience with a carefully selected assortment of fresh foods; locally sourced and specialty products; prepared foods; and grocery essentials. Russell Blais, store director, and Rick Roche, co-owner and CEO of Roche Bros., will cut the celebratory ribbon at 10 a.m.

The 20,000-square-foot store also features products from local producers and vendors that have been handpicked by store staff, as well as exclusive Brothers Marketplace Duxbury Dragon oysters that will be raised by Powder Point Oysters in Duxbury Bay. The oysters, named after the local school mascot, was introduced at this year’s Duxbury Oyster Fest and have already become a local favorite.

“We have been so touched by the warm welcome we are receiving from the town,” said Roche. “Local residents have been stopping by the store during construction to peek in the windows and have shared their excitement with us at the Duxbury Music Festival and other local events. I hope our new neighborhood market becomes a fixture of this historic town and a favorite shopping and dining experience for the community.”

Brothers Marketplace, which has locations in Medfield, Weston and Waltham, brings an innovative approach to food, with a nod to the legacy of small neighborhood markets from the past. Shoppers at Brothers Marketplace in Duxbury can expect an inviting in-store experience, whether staying for a meal or picking up groceries to go. Customers can indulge in scratch-baked pastries, locally roasted coffee from Armeno Coffee in Northborough, tea from Tea Guys in Whately, and espresso drinks from the store’s bakery and coffee bar, which will feature an indoor seating area with bright windows and Duxbury-themed decor. The store will also feature a salad bar, hot grab-and-go meals and prepared foods, made-to-order sandwiches and sushi rolled and hand cut by Yummi Sushi chefs. Customers will also find a wide selection of natural and antibiotic-free meats and a live lobster tank.
