Amalgamated Food Brokerage has been named 2013 Broker of the Year by Lantmannen Unibake USA. The Arizona-based broker received the honor for the second year in a row after achieving 33% increase in sales—the second year in a row it saw record growth. “The entire team at Amalgamated Food Brokerage has delivered solid double digit growth year after year for our pastry line and our artisan breads,” Scott Kolinski, president of Lantannen Unibake USA. “They have brought on new customers every year from luxury lodging operations to colleges and universities and chain operations. That takes persistence, professionalism and a personal commitment from every member of the Amalgamated Food Brokerage team. That consistent performance is what makes them our Broker of the Year for 2013.” Lantmännen Unibake USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lantmännen Unibake.  Lantmännen operates 24 bakeries in 18 countries, and has been operating for over 150 years in Europe. In 1995, Lantmännen Unibake USA began importing premium frozen pastries for North American restaurants, bakeries, cafés and upscale stores.  Lantmännen Unibake USA also produces a line of artisan breads and rolls in the US and has distribution throughout North America to provide customers with consistent, quality products.
