Shipt has brought its online grocery delivery service to Bi-Lo and Dierbergs supermarkets and to more stores of parent company Target Corp. in the South and Midwest.

Starting today, customers of Bi-Lo stores in the Savannah, Ga.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Charleston, Columbia and Greenville, S.C., metropolitan areas can have grocery orders over $35 delivered free via Shipt with an annual membership.

With the move, more than 1.3 million households across the Southeast will have access to Bi-Lo products delivered by Shipt, which said it plans to bolster its personal shopper network throughout the Southeast to help support the expansion.

“The partnership with Shipt provides our customers another way to shop their local Bi-Lo and receive groceries right to their doorstep,” Anthony Hucker, president and chief executive officer of Bi-Lo parent Southeastern Grocers, said in a statement. “We are excited for our customers to receive the same quality products and value that they can always count on when shopping in our stores.”

Meanwhile, same-day delivery of groceries and home essentials through Shipt from Dierbergs and Target stores in the Osage Beach, Mo., area are slated to begin May 22.

Shipt said the launch will enable about 9,000 households in Osage Beach to shop online for fresh foods and household items, among other products, at Dierbergs and Target stores and have them delivered. More than 70 new Shipt Shoppers are being added in the Osage Beach area to help fulfill online orders.

For Dierbergs, the expanded service builds on the launch of Shipt online grocery delivery last September from its stores in metro St. Louis, covering more than 800,000 households. The Chesterfield, Mo.-based supermarket chain has about two dozen stores in the St. Louis market.

“Our upcoming launch will bring a completely new and personalized shopping experience to Osage Beach residents and those enjoying the area on vacation,” said Bill Smith, founder and chief executive offer of Birmingham, Ala.-based Shipt. “Through our app, everything our members need is right at their fingertips and can be on their kitchen counter in as soon as one hour.”

Last week, Shipt also announced same-day delivery of 55,000 groceries, home essentials, electronics, toys and other products from Target stores in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas and expanded service in Mississippi, reaching a cumulative 1.2 million households across the four states.

Online ordering of Target products delivered by Shipt are scheduled to become available beginning May 10 in Kansas City and Springfield, Mo.; May 15 in Lawrence, Topeka and Wichita, Kansas; May 17 in Conway and Little Rock, Ark.; and May 17 in Jackson, Miss.
