Dole Fresh Fruit Company, a subsidiary of Dole Food Company the world's largest producer and marketer of fresh produce, announced the signing of a new contract for pallet pooling services with CHEP, an industry leader in pallet and container pooling solutions.

Dole is now transporting bananas on CHEP pallets from processing facilities in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras to supermarkets, wholesale clubs and distributors in the USA and Canada. Dole has used CHEP pallets for its USA-based fresh vegetable business since 2006.

All of the CHEP pallets Dole uses to transport its bananas from Central America to the USA and Canada are in full compliance with ISPM-15 phytosanitary regulations.

CHEP USA Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Karen Hempel said: "CHEP is delighted to be expanding our activities with Dole, and we look forward to advancing the relationship with new and better solutions for their product handling challenges. We continue to be committed to providing Dole and all of our customers with the highest level of service and product quality."

CHEP has also signed a multi-year contract for pallet pooling services with ConAgra Foods, one of North America's leading food companies. ConAgra Foods will use CHEP pallets to ship products from all of its Consumer divisions to supermarkets, club stores, wholesalers and mass merchants throughout the United States.
