ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Three major brand marketers and two brokers have signed on to receive daily scan data from Catalina Information Resources. Frito-Lay, Haagen-Dazs and Slim-Fast will receive daily, store-specific scanner information through CIR's Quick Response Scan Network. In separate but similar agreements, food brokerage firms Carey, Ahrens & Raynsford of San Ramon, Calif., and Boerner Co. of Flushing, N.Y., also have signed on. CIR's scan data collection methodology and applications are designed to enable users to improve direct-store-delivery operations and evaluate inventory conditions, product performance, promotion results and competitive activity on a store-by-store basis in "real time."
