Lunds Adds Development Post

od Stores here has appointed John Pazahanick director of store development, a new position at the eight-store company.

Pazahanick will direct design, remodeling and construction projects for Lunds Food Stores as well as for commercial properties of Edina Properties, the real estate arm of Lunds.

Pazahanick, who joined Lunds last week, brings 20 years' experience in design and construction. Most recently, he served as director of engineering services for Bolands, Halifax, Nova Scotia, a food retail and wholesale company.

Catalina Appoints Off Chief Executive

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Catalina Marketing here has named George W. Off chief executive officer of the firm.

Off was president and chief operating officer and retains the title of president. Off takes over CEO responsibilities from Tommy Greer, who remains chairman. The company has not yet named a new chief operating officer.

Off is one of the founders of Catalina and a 30-year veteran of the supermarket industry. He has held executive positions in Safeway, Oakland, Calif., and Lucky Stores, San Leandro, Calif.

The company also named two new members to its 10-person board of directors: Patrick Collins, past vice chairman of Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, Calif., and Thomas Smith, president of Prescott Investors. They succeed Michael Scroggie and Stephen Clearman, who left the board to pursue other interests.

Catalina provides electronic coupon-dispensing systems, frequent- shopper and incentive programs to more than 7,900 supermarkets.
