Star Video Names Director of Sales

iano was named to the new position of national director of supermarket sales for distributor Star Video Entertainment here. Andriano was national grocery sales director for Ingram Entertainment, La Vergne, Tenn. He also has served as a branch manager for Ingram. He is now based in Brentwood, Tenn., and will report to Gene Fink, vice president of sales for Star. "We are thrilled with the addition of Glen," said Fink. "We have some talented people here and he will fit right in. We think he is going to add a lot of experience and know-how, and is going to help us grow in the supermarket area. It's not often that you get a chance to work with somebody with that much experience." The addition of Tennessee-based Andriano may signal expansion for Star, which is primarily a regional video distributor in the Northeast. "I think Glen is talented enough to attract customers from all over the country. But we traditionally don't open up warehouses just to open up warehouses. We grow based on our customers' needs," said Fink. The company opened a 60,000-square-foot warehouse five months ago near Philadelphia, he said. At Ingram Entertainment, president David Ingram said the company will likely name a successor to Andriano from within, but no decision has been made yet.
