Produce Director Appointed at Big V

kets here has named Wayne Marshall director of produce operations. He succeeds Darrell Genthner, who has left the company.

Marshall is responsible for buying, merchandising and marketing for produce departments in each store. He reports to Steve Stessel, vice president of sales and merchandising.

Previously, Marshall was produce buyer-merchandiser for the Omni Superstores division of Dominick's Finer Foods, Northlake, Ill.

Fresh Express Taps O'Neil as Sales VP

SALINAS, Calif. -- Fresh Express Farms here has named Philip O'Neil vice president of sales. The position had been vacant for several months.

O'Neil reports to President Mark Drever, and is responsible for directing national retail sales. Previously, he was director of national accounts for Southern Wine and Spirits..

Fresh Express Farms produces several lines of value-added salads, including the Garden Salad line, the World Blend line and The Works.

Melissa's Makes Staff Changes

LOS ANGELES -- Melissa's/ World Variety Produce here has named Debra Cohen director of marketing and product development, a new position. Previously, she was sales director.

Wendy Gubman has been named director of direct sales, a new position. Previously, she was a merchandiser for the company.

Both report to Joe Hernandez, president of Melissa's.
