The main reason I come to this store is its location. I work at an office across the street, so it's very convenient. I actually hate to shop -- whether it's for groceries, a pair of shoes or whatever. I think it's a big hassle. As for grocery stores, I really don't have a favorite. The aisles are always small and cramped, and people are always banging you with their shopping carts. On top of that, employees -- as well as other customers -- are so rude.

The ample parking is one of the main reasons I shop here. I can always get a parking space nearby -- which isn't the case at a lot of other supermarkets. If I could make one improvement, I'd probably want to see more cash registers open, because sometimes you have to stand in line for the longest time, and nobody likes to wait.

Storewide cleanliness, more than anything, is the reason I shop at a particular supermarket. I don't want to see trash in the aisles or any other indication of uncleanliness. If I could improve just one thing, I would make the checkouts happen a lot faster, because, like many other working women, I shop during my lunch hour, and I don't have any time to waste.

I would have to say Stew Leonard's in Norwalk, Conn., is probably my favorite supermarket because they have a wonderful selection of fruits, vegetables and meat, and everything is really fresh. But they don't carry a full supermarket selection, so if I need baking ingredients or something of that nature, I have to go and shop somewhere else. If I could choose any one thing to improve at Stew Leonard's, it would be to have them offer a full supermarket selection.

I shop A&P, Waldbaum's and Food Emporium because I like bargains and they all offer discount cards -- which means you don't have to clip coupons for the specials. The express checkout lines are always fast enough, but the regular checkouts can be a little slow. If I could make an improvement, I'd like regular checkouts to be a little faster.

What I like about this store is its varied, full selection. It has everything I want. The prices are OK, especially when they run specials. I'm a good shopper for specials. The reason I'm here today is because Ralphs is selling six-packs of soda for $1 (with in-ad coupons), and I'm stocking up for my son's family, who love to drink that stuff.

I like everything about this store. Prices are a bit expensive, but it is convenient to where I live, and they have some good sales. I'm a senior citizen and I look for bargains. I love this store. It has everything you could ever want. I especially like the fact that it has items that meet my special dietary needs. I

keep kosher, and this store has a full selection of kosher foods. I also like the produce -- they have a nice selection of precut, ready-to-go vegetables, which are a nice convenience. My only complaint is they don't always have enough carts.

I like the atmosphere -- the fact that people are all so friendly and courteous. And I like the fact Ralphs provides so much nutritional information on signs in the produce department and other parts of the store. And I like the idea that it's a one-stop-shopping store.

This Pavilions store has everything I want. It carries a very wide variety of products, and although the prices are higher than at Lucky, the quality is better. I like the layout of the store. There's enough space to roam around, and I don't get tied up. I like the selection and the fact you can find everything you want. As for what I'd like to see improved, I'd like to see the prices lowered on some items. I come to this store mainly for special buys.

Pavilions is very clean, and they have a lot of gourmet merchandise. And when I'm in a hurry, they have a lot of convenience foods I can pick up. As to what I'd like to see improved, I wish they had more ordinary, everyday food staples at better prices. They're a little higher here than some other chains on packaged goods.

I like the short lines at Pavilions, the fact they have special lines for 12 items or less. I like the Pavilions store overall. It's very well run. I come here because it's less crowded (than other stores) and it has as good a selection. I pay no attention to prices -- I don't know the price on one item or another.
