Food 4 Less stores serving Southern California and the greater Chicago area, and Foods Co stores serving Central and Northern California are teaming up with their local Feeding America affiliated food bank to support the "Great American Milk Drive" during Hunger Action Month, which runs through the end of September.

Through Sept. 28, Food 4 Less and Foods Co are inviting customers to join the "Great American Milk Drive" by donating $1, $3 or $5 at check-out. Every donation will help deliver milk to a local family facing hunger. All donations collected go directly to Feeding America food banks that service the local community where the donation was made.

Southern California Feeding America food banks benefiting from the "Great American Milk Drive" at Food 4 Less include: Feeding America San Diego; FIND Food Bank (Indio); Food Bank of Santa Barbara County; Food Share (Oxnard); Los Angeles Regional Food Bank; Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County; and Second Harvest Food Bank Serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

Donations made at the company's Foods Co stores in Central and Northern California will benefit the Community Bank in Fresno and the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.

Customers supporting the "Great American Milk Drive" by donating $1, $3 or $5 at check-out in Food 4 Less' greater Chicago stores will have their contributions go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
