The bold new packaging, launched in early 2015, emphasizes the products’ probiotic features with vibrant imagery of fruit graphics paired with hand drawn illustrations atop a black background. Balancing the communication of taste, form and function, the new packaging is consistent across GoodBelly’s complete line of Multi-Serving Cartons and Single-Serving Shots. As the Gold winner in the print and packaging categories, GoodBelly will appear in the 2016 Design Annual. “We couldn’t be more pleased to receive recognition in this year’s Design Annual,” says Alan Murray, CEO of GoodBelly. “The purpose of our recent packaging refresh was to better highlight the spirited flavors of our functional beverages, communicating our value and appeal on shelf. Winning Gold helps confirm that our design is bold and eye-catching, while remaining true to our brand and mission to promote better digestion for all.” Each year, Graphis invites professionals and companies across the design community to submit work to be considered for inclusion in their books, and recognizes the best work in graphic design, advertising, photography and art/illustrations with Platinum, Gold and Silver awards. The competition includes a judging process facilitated by Graphis team members over the span of one month. “With sleek black cartons and emphasis on its powerful probiotics, GoodBelly had distinguished itself from other fruit juices in the natural channel,” says Jamie Reedy, creative director at LeeReedy Xylem Digital, producers of the new packaging design. “The brand was ready for wider recognition beyond specialty food stores, and wanted to appeal to a more mainstream yet still health-conscious audience. The design for the new cartons and shots speak loudly and positively to the brand’s direction.” Made with the well-researched probiotic strain, Lactobacillus plantarum 299v (LP299V), GoodBelly supports digestive health when consumed daily, say company officials. GoodBelly offers delicious probiotic drinks and a first for the brand, the Probiotic Supplement. Each serving of GoodBelly packs 10-50 billion live and active probiotic cultures to promote healthy digestive and immune systems, as 70 percent of the body’s immune system resides in the digestive tract. The rebranded packaging can be seen on all GoodBelly probiotic drinks, including PlusShot, Multi-Serving Cartons, StraightShot and SuperShot. GoodBelly products can be found in the refrigerated section of grocery, natural and specialty retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods Market, Safeway, Kroger, Sprouts Farmers Market, The Fresh Market, Hannaford and more.
