Within hours after two bombs exploded near the finish line, killing three and injuring about 150 people, Hy-Vee posted Monday on Facebook that Lindsay Knoop, financial reporting supervisor at Hy-Vee’s corporate office, is safe.
“Knoop said she was less than two blocks from where a pair of explosions injured several people near the end of the race course, but she was unhurt,” according to Hy-Vee’s Facebook post.
In a separate post, Hy-Vee stated that Greg Warzecha, general merchandise manager of Hy-Vee on 57th Street and Cliff Avenue in Sioux Falls, S.D., completed the 26.2-mile marathon in 3 hours and 9 minutes.
“Greg and his family are safe, and we look forward to his return to Sioux Falls,” according to Hy-Vee.
